Meet Dr. Amber Brim, Physical Therapist and Founder of Trade Doctor LLC

Not long ago, I felt stuck.

I was working countless hours as a physical therapist, spending less time with my family, exhausted from the demands of my career, and still not making the kind of money that allowed me to truly live the life I envisioned for myself and my children.

Like many people, I was doing everything “right” — earning advanced degrees, working hard, helping others — yet still feeling financially limited and emotionally drained.

That journey led me to options trading.

What started as a desire for additional income eventually became something much bigger. Trading challenged me to grow in discipline, patience, emotional control, consistency, and confidence. It changed the way I approached not only finances, but life.

I created the Trade Doctor Program

to simplify the learning process and create a supportive environment where everyday people can learn how to trade with clarity and confidence.

Inside Trade Doctor, the focus goes beyond just strategies. I believe successful trading requires education, structure, emotional discipline, and the ability to trust yourself over time.

My mission is to help traders stop depending on hype, alerts, and guesswork and instead develop the skills and confidence needed to trade independently and intentionally.

How do I get started?

How much money should I start with?

This is personal question and will vary from individual to individual. I recommend starting with an amount that you are comfortable losing. This helps to minimize the emotional aspect of trading and allows you to focus on using technical analysis to make your decisions. You could start with as little as $200. I started with $1000.

What platform do you recommend for trading?

I like ThinkorSwim with Charles Schwab. They do not charge commissions and the platform is easy to navigate once you become familiar with it.

I heard you don't need technical indicators to trade. Why do you use them?

I use technical indicators as a roadmap to provide confirmation for trades. They serve as a roadmap. Once you are a skilled trader, you can remove them and use price action and support and resistance to execute your trades.

Is trading options risky?

Any time you put money in the market, there is some risk. The best thing to do is manage the risk. I teach about risk management in the beginners package.
